We use Victron Energy® off-grid systems for their reliability, efficiency, and versatility. Designed to deliver consistent power while on the road, these systems ensure that your van's electrical needs are met, whether you're running appliances, charging devices, or powering essential systems. Victron's advanced technology optimizes energy usage, extending battery life and maximizing solar input.

Heating & Ventilation
Comfort inside a camper van is essential, and hydronic heating combined with air conditioning takes it to the next level. Hydronic heating provides consistent, even warmth throughout the van, ensuring cozy temperatures during chilly nights. The Rixens Enterprises® MCS7 is the most advanced hydronic heating system available providing seamless control from the onboard touchscreen or your smartphone. Meanwhile, air conditioning keeps the interior cool and refreshing on hot days. Together, these systems create a comfortable living environment no matter the weather, making your camper van a true home on wheels.
Ride Improvements
The "Agile Off-Road" suspension, heavy-duty sway bars, throttle controller, and wind assist feature combine to create a remarkably refined driving experience. The Agile Off-Road suspension ensures a smoother ride, absorbing bumps and uneven terrain with ease, while the heavy-duty sway bars enhance stability, reducing body roll during sharp turns and providing greater control. The throttle controller offers precise responsiveness, allowing for tailored acceleration that matches your driving style. Additionally, the wind assist feature actively counters crosswinds, keeping your vehicle steady and improving handling in challenging conditions.
Advanced Lighting
Concealed dimmable LED track lighting inside the vans allows for a variety of lighting settings, perfect for any time of day or night. Bright overhead dimmable puck lights offer plenty of illumination for cooking and meal prep, while the under-cabinet and toe kick lights create a soft, ambient glow—ideal for relaxing in the evening or winding down for the night. The bed area has two goose-neck dimmable LED reading lights.
At the core of our exterior lighting system is the advanced Garmin® Powerswitch™, offering complete control over various lighting features, including under-chassis accent lights, side-mounted porch lights, fog lights, and a 42” Strands® Siberia light bar with dual color options. You can manage the system effortlessly via an Android® or Apple® smartphone, through CarPlay™ or AndroidAuto™ on the factory-installed Mercedes infotainment system, or using the included 7” portable tablets inside the van. With this level of control, you can truly create the perfect ambiance.
Comfort
The Froli® Spring Sleep System, combined with a high-density foam mattress, offers exceptional sleep comfort. This system can be easily customized to adjust firmness in specific areas, such as the hips and shoulders, and allows for separate preferences between sleep partners.
Having a dedicated seating area is crucial. Not having to constantly rearrange modular furniture just to sit makes a big difference, which is why we prioritized designing a layout with a comfortable auxiliary seat, even in the more compact 144 wheelbase Ruckle van.

With every Apex Van build, you get to choose from four of the most highly rated toilets available. Whether you need a washroom for occasional use, a convenient nighttime option, or full-time comfort on the road.
Technology
The Victron Energy Cerbo GX enables comprehensive monitoring of onboard systems, including temperature sensors, tank levels, solar input, AC/DC output, and charge status. The dual-zone Focal® and Fusion® sound system allows seamless streaming and volume control from multiple devices. For entertainment or business, the Samsung® Smart TV, paired with Starlink™ satellite internet, delivers off-grid high-speed connectivity. Multiple wireless chargers ensure convenient mobile device charging. Additionally, remote monitoring via Victron's VRM platform over a 4G/3G network allows for real-time system checks and adjustments from anywhere.
